It’s a potent combination when Jamal Al Ghurair, the principal of Al Khaleej Sugar, the world’s largest standalone sugar refinery and Jacob Robbins of Emeterra, who used to be the world’s largest industrial buyer of sugar, put their heads together. Keynote Speaker

We are honoured that Geovane Consul, Chief Executive Officer of BP Bunge Bioenergia, will be the Keynote Speaker at the Conference this year. BP Bunge Bioenergia is one of the leaders in the ethanol, bioelectricity and sugar sectors of Brazil. In 2023 it was considered the best company in the sector of bioenergy by Valor 1000 yearbook – which features the top 1000 companies in Brazil, and is published by the respected Valor Econômico newspaper. Geovane started his career at Bunge in the late 1980s and went on to build a distinctive executive career. For a period, he was Chief Operating Officer Latin America and South Africa DuPont, before returning to Bunge to take on key executive roles that included Chief Operating Officer Agribusiness and Executive Vice President Sugar and Bioenergy. Geovane has served as the Chief Executive Officer of BP Bunge Bioenergia since the formation of the company in 2019, a joint venture between BP and Bunge’s bioenergy businesses in Brazil. His vast experience in the industry, along with BP Bunge Bioenergia’s strong focus on sustainability will enhance our understanding of how best to seize this unique moment.
